Summary: Change is a difficult mistress. Luciano puts a gear on things, and Martín nearly brings things to a stop. [P.S. comments and advice are much appreciated]Weeks flash by and in the midst of classes, work, and research, Luciano and Manuel can’t seem to catch a break. If Luciano isn’t researching, Manuel is hounding over him. She isn’t about to let Luciano go off and do something stupid, and as she has repeatedly explained, fruit was not an acceptable replacement for what is missing in Luciano’s underwear.
OH NO FEELS.
I love the friendship between Luci and Manu, it feels real and beautiful and you can see how important their bond is for them, and how deeps runs their understanding of each other. Miguel was very naïve and I liked that, I liked the way he behaved, there was no malice in him when he reacted to Luci’s request, just plain naïvety and ignorance, in contrast to Martín and this… jackass shell thingie he has build around himself. And Manu is heartbreaking in that way that you can feel how she must live everyday with a lump in her throat and an ache inside her chest and so soaked in fear sometimes she forgets how to come back to the surface.
