Do you see this girl? Get a good look at her…
This is Barbara “Babs” Gordon. The second Batgirl and only Oracle. And she is my favorite comic book heroine… Do you wanna know why?
She held her own against the boys as Batgirl. And became an icon of strength for girls everywhere. She persevered against some of the craziest thugs Gotham had to offer for years. She happily retired the mantle of Batgirl of her own volition. Until She was crippled by the Joker in a scheme to get to her father, Jim Gordon…. and in turn Batman.
She refused to let her life in a wheelchair keep her down and she discovered a talent for hacking into computer databases for information. She became an irreplaceable asset to the Batfam and the JLA. And became a different kind of symbol. A symbol to those who are also handicapped. Babs was a shining reminder that a disability doesn’t mean you are useless as a person.
As Oracle, Babs was an even stronger character than she was as Batgirl… She mentored Cassandra Cain, and Stephanie Brown, and was the brains behind the Birds of Prey and the go to center for information for all of DC’s superheroes.
She is not a “crippled starfish” nor were her computer skills “lame”.
Babs deserves the respect her character commands. I don’t care who you ship her with or not. I cannot stand the disgusting and ignorant messages I have been getting about her…. That is all.

Are you my mummy!!
This black and white spotted lamb seems to think he is a Dalmatian dog. The lamb was born at a dog breeder’s farm in South Australia’s Barossa Valley. After being rejected by his mother he was quickly adopted by dog Zoe and the pair are now inseparable. The dotty lamb follows her around the farm and even sleeps inside the dog kennel.
